Introduction

The three-storey X-building is built for Rolex and Hazan Motorworks. Underground is used as the showroom of Hazan Motorworks. The inspiration of the shape of this area comes from the word “fabricate”. The whole area looks like an uncompleted cuboid and the irregular part keeps the original underground appearance. It implies that the company will not stop producing and will maintain their products from beginning to end. Then above the ground, there are two constructions in the same shape but different size. The bigger one is for Hazan Motorworks, the other one is for Rolex. Two S-like constructions stand side by side to make an 'X', just appear like the fingers on the watch.  The stairs connecting underground and the ground floor of  Hazan Motorworks follows the trend of stratum. Customers can make purchase on level G. Level1 is used as office and workshop, so it is only accessable for stuff. A mini cablecar runs between two constructions. Moving to the building for Rolex, visitors may find the stair connecting level 1 and the ground floor is special. It goes after the tendency of the hook face and is made up of three parts. The design is aimed at keep visitors working just like time. Ground floor is the showroom as well as the perchase area of Rolex. A spiral stair enables people to access the showroom of  Hazan Motorworks from Rolex. Another unique design is the glass on the ground between two constructions. In this way, energy used on lighting reduces as natural light can go into the underground part through the 'window' placed on the ground. As for materials, concrete is used for the main body, colourful glass and glass with pattern are used on windows, and timber is used on stairs.
